In a medium pot, cook sausage over medium/high heat, about 10 minutes.
As sausage is cooking use a heat proof spatula to break up the sausage into small pieces.
Once sausage is done and browned, add flour and stir it in until the flour has been absorbed by the sausage fat, about 2 minutes.
Turn the heat down to medium and add the milk and pepper to the sausage and flour mixture and continue to stir until mixture thickens into a gravy, about 5-6 minutes.
